PLEASE go to http://www.gpcgc.org/pyrforme.htm and read up on this breed before you purchase ANY GP. They are a tough breed
to handle. This site describes them perfectly. We would be happy to answer your questions, just call us.
These puppies are NOT showing signs that they are up to the task of livestock guardian work alone. We give this group
more handling so they are more adapted to humans yet are still raised with various young livestock. (We have been wrong before). They
may also be a good ranch/ farm dog. Sometimes they can be used in a pack with other great LGD's. But not alone or with just
one other LGD.
Currently a few are in training to be service dogs.
Note: Working GP bloodlines usually NEED lots of room to run and don't usually make happy pets unless they have lots of
room along with charges to protect. Having a different job, such as service dogs, can work for them to have a happy life.
Base price is $200.
If a certified service trainer needs a service dog puppy we will consider a break in that price as long as the discount
is passed downstream to a needy family.
Sometimes things happen in life that creates an unfortunate situation for a family and their LGD. If anyone ever needs
to surrender one of our dogs we will accept them back and find them an appropriate home that will match their needs/personality.
However we will never place a returned/rescued animal as a working dog. This will be at no cost to either party we just offer
this for the benefit of the animal. We NEVER want to have one of our wonderful animals end up in a shelter or worse when a
family no longer is able to care for them properly.
